A man connected to several cold cases across merica has confessed to killing an Odessa woman more than 20 years ago.
Samual McDowell, also known as Samuel Little, confessed to killing Denise Brothers in February 1994.The confession came about as a result of interviews given to Texas Ranger, James Holland, who helped to extradite Little from California. Little is serving a life sentence in regards to three murders in the 1980s in the Los Angeles area. He was linked to those murders after being arrested in Louisville, Kentucky on drug charges in 2012.
Ector County District Attorney, Bobby Bland, said that Little has confirmed details to James Holland of 30 murders who has built a relationship with the killer since his transfer from California to Texas. Little is suspected of being connected to around 60 more murders.
Enquiries in over a dozen states together with the FBI and Department of Justice are taking place to see what links Little may have to other cold cases.Meanwhile he is suspected of killing women in Texas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Tennessee, Mississippi, Louisiana, Ohio, California, Indiana, Arizona, New Mexico and South Carolina.
