The Ashland County, Ohio home where convicted killer, Shawn Grate, held and murdered two women was demolished this week.
Police discovered the empty property after a women reported being held captive in the address in 2016. The remains of two women were found within the property at 363 Covert Street. Residents gathered to cheer the demolition crews as the house was torn down.
Grate received the death penalty for the kidnap and murder of 29-year-old Elizabeth Griffith and 43-year-old Stacey Stanley, He confessed to two further murders but has not been charged with those crimes. He was suspected of a fifth murder by police.
